Resources: A Sticky Faith Conference Coming to a Fellowship Hall Near You

As parents, we covenant with God and with each other that we will raise our children in Christian homes, teaching them along the way both formally and informally about the love of God as revealed through his Son, Jesus Christ.  As a congregation, we covenant with God and with families, that we will walk with them on their journey of faith providing support, encouragement, and instruction for them and for their children.

So, what happens when a child grows up in church, leaves for college, and never returns?  In today's culture, 40-50 percent of people who are connected to their church through youth group during their senior year in high school will not stick with their faith in college.  Many will shelve their faith only to return to it when they need it or when they begin having children.  But, many will shelve it for good - never to return.

This fall we will be hosting certified speaker from the Fuller Youth Institute for a Sticky Faith Parent Conference on Saturday, October 19 from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m. for parents of children and students.  In this conference, we will learn about some of the sociological factors influencing our students today, and we will hear some practical information on helping our children develop long-term faith that lasts.  We would love for you to go ahead and mark this on your calendars and invite every parent you know!
